Café de Flore

6ème arrondissement

Café de Flore is a coffee Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, at the intersection of the Boulevard Saint-Germain and Rue Saint-Benoit. The origne its name refers to a sculpture of the ancient goddess Flora on the opposite side of the boulevard. The Art Deco interior red armchairs, mahogany and mirrors has changed little since World War II. Like its main rival Les Deux Magots, Cafe de Flore hosted most French intellectuals during the years after the war.
